Its ECO fan mode can stop the fan at lighter loads, so a stationary fan alone doesn’t indicate a fault. Fan behavior also depends on internal temperature.
@rebateradar SAMA lists two 4+4-pin CPU power connectors. That’s useful for boards with two CPU power sockets; use the motherboard manual to choose the required connections.
SAMA specifies a Japanese main capacitor for this G series. That statement doesn’t establish that every capacitor inside is Japanese.
SAMA’s published warranty is five years for the G series and ten years for the P series. Compare those terms if you’re deciding between the two lines.
The G1000 provides eight SATA power connectors. Count your drive and accessory power connections before choosing it for a storage-heavy build.
It also has three 6+2-pin PCIe connectors for graphics cards that use conventional 8-pin sockets. The native 16-pin cable isn’t your only GPU connection option.
