The MQ149CD's automatic screen rotation uses ASUS DisplayWidget Center. Without that software, plan to set the display orientation yourself.
@underbudgeted The MQ149CD's extended desktop mode works over USB-C, while split mode also supports HDMI. Check the connection and mode you plan to use before assuming both panels will appear as separate displays.
ASUS provides a standard tripod mounting hole on the MQ149CD, but the tripod stand is sold separately. Budget for that if you want the panels higher than their built-in kickstand allows.
Each MQ149CD panel is 1920 × 1200, a 16:10 shape. Compared with a 1920 × 1080 portable screen, that adds 120 vertical pixels for documents and toolbars.
The MQ149CD folds through 360 degrees. That lets you turn the panels back-to-back for sharing content across a table, as well as stacking them toward yourself.
