MacBook Pro 16 M5 Max: 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD — $4,299.99, Phoenix pickup
$4,299.99 before tax for new model Z1MZ00029, with M5 Max 18-core CPU and 40-core GPU, 64GB unified memory, 2TB SSD and a 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display. Micro Center Phoenix listed three new units ready for pickup on September 25. In-store pickup only; no shipping. The page lists 15-day returns and a one-year limited warranty. This is $1,100 below the retailer reference price, making it a good specialized option for demanding portable macOS work. It is expensive for everyday use: the active $999.99 Acer Swift 16 is far cheaper for general computing. The $1,999.99 Indianapolis Mac Studio saves $2,300 if you can use a desktop, but has less memory, storage and fewer GPU cores. Confirm local stock before travelling.

The reason to spend this much is the combination of 64GB memory, 2TB storage and the 40-core GPU in a portable Mac. For general browsing and office work, the active $999.99 Swift 16 is a much cheaper option. Phoenix pickup only; confirm stock before making the trip.
